I was sitting outside with the Dog Dude some time back and decided to snap a few photos. I thought “Bacon! Bacon! Bacon!” as I positioned the camera behind his head to get his view point. (You know, a reference to that dog commercial about the bacon treats?) I think I actually said it out loud. He had no idea what was going on, just another moment outside on the patio that’s all that mattered to him. I looked in the direction he looked. It was so easy to do, just did it. No worries, doubts, complaints. Neither of us.
The Dog Dude was so happy to just spend time together, outside.
Sometimes, it is so very difficult for me to get the LORD’s view point. Seeing things through, as I’ve heard it said, the Divine View Point. Not on circumstances. That’s one thing. Living by faith. That’s another. Resting in Him, yet another. All good.
But, sometimes, I think I must be looking at the LORD like the Dog Dude first looked at me the other day …
