That's Popcorn, Peanuts, Soda Water & Chewing Gum. Like my faith journey and life – a little bit of everything and jumbled sometimes.

Contempt prior to investigation

There is a principle which is a bar against all information which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance -- that principle is contempt prior to investigation. -- Herbert Spencer

Welcome & Thank You

Welcome to my blog where I post a little bit of everything from my life and faith. I hope you'll visit often.

In your visit, I hope you will find things to enjoy, contemplate, learn, and cry or laugh about with me here.

I'm starting to think of this blog as a book on a shelf, or a coffee table book. Pick it up. Read it. Thumb through it. Put it back. Come back again when you can.

Thank you, Jenn

Please, don’t just take my word for it.

Especially in discussing Jehovah God's Word. Please check things out for yourself in His Word.

His reply: You failed to study.

That's right. In 2003, I sat with my Bible open before me on the floor of the RV in which we planned to travel and go places. Actually, it was running away from the emptiness of pursuing everything but the Lord. I really asked Him "How'd I get like this?"

I heard it in my heart alongside 2 Timothy 2:15, "you failed to study". In other words, I'd failed to secure my steadfastness through studying God's Word.

And, that began a journey I'd pondered all my life. For my husband, it began one he never knew existed. We both accepted Christ's salvation when we were 9 (me) or so (him).
